Isthmus of the Fae
Due to the isthmus's location between two large continents and it's width being the smallest point across land connecting the 2 seas, the Fae have created quite the cultural and trade powerhouse in their Jewel of the Fae. At the thinnest point, the mountains taper down to where the Fae have created a channel for shipping passage from the north-west to south-east sides. Further south, along the Eastern ocean side, the mountains quickly rise to the Black Mountain Chain.
Geography
A tropical isthmus connecting two continents together. There is a northern remnant of the Black Mountain Chain that extends into the eastern side of the isthmus,
Fauna & Flora
Tropical biome. Many early Faelon magics stressed the threshold of the area. While the cities and routes are well defended and protected, the wilderness areas are actually more dangerous due to a plethora of magically warped creatures and abominations. The Faelon use it in their bureaucratic ways to prevent expansion into their territories, as a natural deterrent to invasion, and as a training ground for their guardsmen and soldiers.
Natural Resources
Not exactly natural, but around before the Faelon settled the area, the Library of Senesh has an entrance here, "guarded" by the House of Wisdom. The mountains are not particularly rich in resources, and the wild lands unprotected by Faelon magics are too dangerous for harvesting wood or any other natural resources or ingredients. Much of
