History
Their relationship is very close. John loves his father and his family as he has had a good and productive life. Theophilos is proud of his son and loves him. He does not try to hide it as he believes his son is truly the center of his universe, even over his position as Strategos/Magistrate.
History
John cares for his uncle, where he got his name, as he is the brother of his father. He is a powerful and brutal general so John has always been slightly afraid of him. The general loves his nephew, as he cares very much for his brother. They are a tight family unit and he knows that his nephew is a little weary of him because of his brutality.
History
John cares for his son very much. He is still young but is already smart and industrious. He is also curious and talented in sport and as a swordsman and archer. Their relationship is close, like John's own relationship with his father. Their family is very tight knit.
