Marduk
As thoughtful as he is creative, Marduk is the foremost protector of civilization and a tireless champion of mortals. At times acting as an informal leader of the The Pantheon, Marduk was the first to suggest the gods put order into the world, setting into motion the events which lead to the First War.
While dedicated to order, some may say that he is so to a fault, with his priests at times accused of propping up tyrannical rulerships as they prefer unjust order over just anarchy. The priests, in turn, will argue that chaos simply cannot be good - In the turmoil of anarchy, the weak are the first to be crushed.
He is associated with the Holy Weapon of the Inhullu, a holy wind with which he once defeated the Dragon Queen Tiamat.
As god of Civilization, Marduk has taken an active hand in the rise of many rulers, including the formation of the Systems Alliance.
Marduk values those who defend law and those who build and guard order. He is the patron of architects, politicians and officials. He is also venerated by explorers and colonizers, seeking to spread the joys of civilization to every corner of the galaxy.
Marduk is most often portrayed as a tall man with a distinctive, tied beard or a golden gryphon.
