The Void Reaches Forth

While this codex resides within the Void, the Void is held at bay.

Despair

Once per day you can shake the hearts of even the most stalwart and bravest hero who walks the world. A target creature within sight must make a DC 30 Will save or their thoughts are filled with the overwhelming despair of the void. The target falls into a coma on a failed save, on a successful save the target is overcome with the fear of the void and flees combat as fast as possible ignoring its safety.

The Void’s Embrace

Once per hour you may willingly sacrifice part of your being to deal 3d10 void damage to a single target. A skill may be forgotten, a spell may be erased permanently, an ability score may decrease by 1 permanently.

Nothingness

Once, you may return yourself, the book, and one target creature to the Void. You and the target and erased from the Past, Present, and Future for all of eternity. It does not make a save, it will not drop any loot, and it will not give XP. Undead may be targets of this spell so long as they were once mortal. The codex is lost.

Reality Fights Back

This codex does not belong outside the Void. The owner of this book must make a DC 20 Arcana check whenever this Codex is used or it is lost to the Void. It may be retrieved from the void once again after 1d4 years.
