Statera

In every world, there is a struggle between Order and Chaos, Good and Evil. In many worlds throughout the Omniverse, that struggle is hidden, usually too weak to actively affect day-to-day life. In Statera, this is not the case. This world is pervaded by periods of Chaos and Darkness as well as Order and Light. There is a constant power struggle between forces of evil and good and is felt almost daily by even most peasants.   So what truly makes this world special? Honestly, I have yet to determine that. The geography is unique, to be sure. There is a single continent whose shape is modeled after the Yin Yang, a symbol of balance.   There are some major cultural differences, however. Dwarves and Elves do not fight amongst each other, in fact, they are friends. Tieflings are not scorned, they are simply a by-product of an unfortunate war. Orcs are not feared, they are masters of Architecture, Engineering and are accomplished Diplomats.   Additionally, the High Elves and Drow (Dark Elves) come from the respective Light and Dark planes, which in the Last War of the Elves were expelled from the planes of existence, never to be seen again, making both races mortal and much less powerful, magically. Before they had been near gods, now they are near people.   Finally, I just want to say I love making this world. Even should I abandon it for a year I will come back and build upon it.
