Dark Sanity
When the exposure to dark matter lasts long then an hour or two it begins to affect your sanity then your health. This is extremely dangerous and at high levels is deadly. However, with the right medication and protection, can be prevented and even cured. Even though is is curable, without treatment it will continue and could even worsen in the right conditions.

Dark matter is extremely volatile and cats oddly in the presence of matter. With a organic organism even weirder. It disrupts the chemical processes and distorts reality in the brain.
Symptoms
Someone with Dark Sanity loses all ability to think with reason and logic. Reality is completely distorted and act purely on emotion and feelings. People in this stage tend to make choices suddenly and will feel as if the universe is calling them. They will being to believe the fundamental laws of physics are different with some believing gravity is broken. They will attack friends and help dangerous creatures who they think are friends. This will continue until the treatment is applied. If no treatment is applied, the person will die.
Treatment
There are two ways of dealing with the condition. Certain pockets of the universe are completely devoid of dark matter. This allows for recovery naturally to begin. It takes about three month per hour of exposure, but while they will be free of the condition, being around dark matter facilities and objects and reignite it again. The other treatment is to take the dark matter directly out of the body. It is extremely painful with only a 50% survival rate no matter the severity. It extracts it by inserting several needles into the body that are attuned to dark matter. This attracts the sources inside the body out, but is very dangerous.

Most people never recover from it and have to go into asylums in order to keep them from harming others. Actually treatment is either extremely costly or deadly and many family members are unwilling to try since the affected member is still themselves but just lost in their mind.
