Farron Dynasty
The Farron Dynasty is the current ruling family of the Duchy of St. Germain. They are a combatant family in the civil war for the throne of the Hyperion Dominion.
History
The Farron Dynasty branched from the royal line in 2477, when Princess Adèle Cloutier Farron was named Countess of California and entrusted with recovering its failing terraforming project. The Farron Dynasty was credited with halting the damage done by the failing project, and transforming California into a more livable planet. Soon after the collapse of the Dominion in 2601, Valérie Farron orchestrated the assassination of her liege, Duchess Suzette Beaumont, usurping from her the Duchy of St. Germain. Valérie cited her ancestral ties to the Cloutier Dynasty in order to press the claim, as well as a larger claim for the entirety of the dominion. Since, the Farron Dynasty has waged war on surrounding duchies, and maintained that other familes are pretenders to the Dominion's throne.
