Helios - Homeworld to "God of The Sun" Heliod

Helios is a very odd planet, the planet is 70% land and 30% ocean. The atmosphere contains a harmless ionizing radiation along with microscopic nano-machines that use the radiation as a fuel source. The planet is home to more than just humans, seems have several humanoid like races. its also home to creatures to be considered only legends and myths back on earth but here they are thriving.

Geography

Much of the lands appear to be like that of earth but with a greater abundance of grasslands, plains, hills, valleys, forests. Some of the major rivers, lakes, and other water sources are found to be enormously larger, deeper and often longer. in various locations around the planet there oddly designed gates with variously colored crystals growing from them. Only the locals living close to them understand their function and how to use them. In several valleys you can find colossal floating tetrahedrons made of a foreign alloy and covered in unreadable markings. Only a small group of people of the planet know their origin and what they are for. Dotting the landscape of many non-inhabited areas you can find large monolithic pillars with prismatic rivers of single colors flowing out from them. each river only extends out several kilometers from the pillars before being soaked up into the ground completely.

Fauna & Flora

very close to that of earth maybe with some of the African and jungle plants being far more deadly and even more alive. Just as earth has the famous "Tree of life" as its oldest tree on record, there are many older, larger trees dotting various forests and plains of Helios.

Natural Resources

the world is full of earth like natural resources plus crystals that emit a foreign but other wise harmless energy and radiation unless processed a certain way as the knowledgeable people of the world can show.
