Doctor John Disco

Doctor John Hendrix Disco, often preferred to being simply called "Doctor". During most of what occurred in the history of the Stargate Program, Disco refused to be involved until Destiny sent back gate coordinates to a new galaxy. When Disco saw the coordinates himself he made every effort to get himself onto the expedition team. Many of the veteran scientists and researchers involved with program like Dr.McKay had all studied under in him at some point in their college years. In fact, General Carter and McKay pushed him for a leading role in the expedition team to this new galaxy.

Doctor Disco really enjoys running. He's always running around in his black converse sneakers.

Specialized Equipment

Always carries a pair of dark tinted sunglasses seem to make a faint high pitched buzzing sound when worn. He also carries a metallic cube etched with odd symbols in a pocket of his coat. He seems to disappear from the detection of Atlantis' sensors shortly after entering his private quarters. However he remains reachable with the comms system.

Personal history

Official records show that John was born in a small suburb area of Glasgow. The only son of Martha and Trevor Disco. His mother was a famous opera singer in her youth while his father was both a business man and professor himself at Caledonian University. John himself does sing and play instruments but purely for personal pleasure as those joys often help him to clear his mind when working on difficult academic projects. He also tends to ramble on when he's lost in thought.

Education

According to offical records John Disco has earned several Doctorates varying fields of study and just as many Masters degrees. Here are the following the degrees he has earned:
Doctorates: Ancient History, History, Archaeology, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Linguistics, Operational Research.
Masters: Pharmacy, Earth Science, Chemistry, Physics, Healthcare Sciences, Biosciences, Computer Science and Informatics.

Cardiff University Professor for the last 7 years, prior to that John Disco had taught at several other colleges and universities while also lending his knowledge to government agencies and several companies over the years.

Knighted by Queen Elizabeth for his academic discoveries and contributions to both the medical field and to rediscovering much of the early England's lost history.
