Session 1

General Summary

The party learned they were being evicted from their already crappy tenement housing.

Meeko won a starship in a poker game.

Everyone went to claim the ship, it was renamed from CSS Disco Hawk to
CSS Andromeda

Killian Terrik (Lee) recognized the ship as having belonged to his ex-boss in the Mafia,
Jimmy Capella.

While exploring the ship they discovered that there were 2 units of spares on board, and
that no one could find any smuggler bays, even though Killian is positive that Jimmy Capella
wouldn't have a personal ship with no smuggling bays.

Drakenstrike hacked into the ships computer and found some secure file locations:
DIRT (Diff 4), STUFF (diff 2) "TC" (diff 3). He did not hack into DIRT,
failed to hack into TC increasing its Diff to 4), then successfully hacked "STUFF".
In stuff there were a ton of conspiracy theory files and videos.

One of the conspiracy theory videos actually looks like legit evidence that there
might be a Collective facility in the Desolation Abyss, far enough out that a ship
would need a Jump Rating of 5 to get there. This could only be accomplished by
having a grade A jump drive and having a good engineer "soup it up".


Since Killian knows there must be smuggling bays on the Andromeda he used his
Mafia contacts to find the guy who used to be the ships engineer for Jimmy Capella,
a guy named Alison Smith who is currently service 6 months for a DUI and destruction
of property (he got drunk and drove a forklift into a mall... long story).

Meeko (Claire) and Drakenstrike (Rick) disguised themselves as lawyers, and using
an Expert System for Drakenstrike's AR cyberware they pretended to have a deal
for Alison Smiths, tricking him into disclosing the location of the smuggler bays
on the Andromeda (there are 3, bridge, captains quarters, and a bigger one in engineering)

The plan was made to try and update the Void Drive on the Andromeda and
soup it up so the group could reach the (maybe) Collective facility in the Abyss.

Because that requires money everyone looked for a job:

Killian found a drug smuggling job to The End that pays 500 credits.

AIO found a refugee situation where some people were stranded on The End
and needed transport to STIX. It doesn't pay anything but it's for a good cause.

Drakenstrike and Meeko went to Joe's Bar and got hooked up with a Security Job
for Vashalla Mining. Turns out a "security company" called Iratus Securities, which
owned by human members of Homo Dominus Omnium/ (HOD), are pissed that
Vashalla bought their mining op when it went into foreclosure. Vashalla sent a
guy undercover with IS, who sent a cryptic message indicating an attack by IS
was imminent and had something to do with "CSS Dicker Max"

The group used their contacts to discover that Dicker Max was a ship that jumped
into the system "In Distress" several weeks before in the outer system, and was
apparently salvaged by a salvage company called "Feedlebum Salvaging" and was
taken to their base on the moon "Blackbird" to be refurbished for later sale.
