The Syah System
The Syah system is a corporate colony of Sullustans set up by SoroSuub not long after the Kanzi Sector was opened for colonization. Originally heavily mined, the system at one time had many mineral resources, though, as is the case with many of the older systems in the Kanzi Sector, all that is left is some small scale asteroid mining and continuing gas extraction from the gas giants. Unfortunately, SoroSuub was not very careful in their management of this system and its worlds. The rocky planets and moons are all pockmarked by the remains of massive strip mining. Gane, which was not so rich in minerals is a toxic wasteland from runaway industrialization. SoroSuub abandoned this system when the resources played out.
Today, Imperial Governor Phelps Vong, a recent appointee of Moff hax rules over the system, which has deteriorated into a tribal society based around crumbling assembly lines for SoroSuub products which are at least two generations out of date, but which are produced by the tribes because they are the only things they have to make and trade. The orbital habitats are not much better, though the orbital clans maintain much better education and maintain trade with other systems as the system is the gateway to the Kanzi Sector. The local yards are also beginning to show their age without SoroSuub directly supporting them, though the orbital clans still continue to produce their own version of the antiquated B’zabuu-Class light freighter and the occasional copy of the Brayl-Class bulk freighter.
