The Rembu system is home to the planet of Jenti. This planet, which is currently at the steam age for most of its technology, is famous for the nalwood it exports. The Planet, whose surface is quite dry, has a rather unique biosphere. The nalwood trees are self-motile, moving in order to access the water which is trapped in the aquifers beneath the surface. This makes the surface of Jenti an everchanging landscape in which it is quite easy to get lost. Which is just what many a sentient has done since the beginning of the Empire. About a quarter of the population is now made up of those in hiding from the Empire. The life of a logger in the nalwood forests is a hard one, but still better than life in an Imperial prison. The rest of the population is made up of Humans whose ancestors believed that technology was ruining life. They moved to Jenti and set themselves up to live with just enough industry to make life a little easier.

The Empire does not really care much about Jenti, however, the rest of the system has recently attracted the attention of the Imperial scouts. It turns out that the other planets, while not overly rich in resources, do have enough to make them appealing as the resources elsewhere in the sector begin to be depleted. Targhazan Mining Company has been brough in to mine the other planets, moons and the asteroid belts. King Vinis Kinall is not aware that the Empire is mining in the system, but even if he was, there is not much he can do about it. As for security in this system, it is nearly non-existent. IPV/h patrol ships do make passes through the system on an irregular basis as do ships of the Imperial Customs Service.

TMC does maintain an orbital refinery station to support the mining efforts in the system. Defense of this station is provided by a pair of Etti Ligther Patrol Ships purchased from the CSA. Severeal mining ships are assigned to the system and superlift ore and gas haulers call at the refinery andgas mining ships for cargos a couple of times a month.
