This system is home to a strange civilization, this despite it being a human one. These people claim to have come from the land of Shou Lung in their flying dragon ships millennia ago. It is true that records from the Old Republic indicate that these people were already present when the scouts initially opened the sector for the Republic. They had already discovered a modern sub-light drive and were working on a hyper drive. The inhabitants of Xin Shou VII had already spread out into their system and begun mining the other moons and skimming the gas giants with cloud scoops. When they joined the republic, the soon mad a place for themselves as premier producers of plastics and transparisteel. They also branched out into explosives, and today are the largest explosives producer for several sectors. They produce everything from commercial mining explosives to military grade fusion blocks. They are also the largest producer of concussion missiles for those same several sectors. It also seems that they produce two other exports that are not noted as such. The first is Shou cuisine, which has spread like wildfire. Ma Yuxing’s Chicken Bucket Restaurant is probably the largest chain restaurant not controlled by a true trans-stellar in the entire galaxy. The other is emigres, it seems like a Shoutown is found on nearly every planet in the Kanzi sector and on most in the neighboring sectors.
The system is ruled by the Celestial Emperor, Kang Ming, however, the Empire also has a great interest in the system, so they have also assigned an Imperial Prefect to the system. The prefect is in charge of the four garrison bases assigned to the system. In order to ensure the security of the system, the Imperial Navy keeps the 35678th attack line in the system for security. This is made up of six old Bayonet-class light cruisers. The Imperial Customs Service also maintains a squadron of six Gaudian-344 class light cruisers.
There are occasional spacer tales told of this system. Truthfully they must be the space dreams of spacers too long in the void for they are too far fetched to possibly be true. The tales tell of strange ships sighted sailing the void of the Rekiki system, literally sailing the void, for these ships are described as being fantastic ships, shaped liked a long serpent with legs. Buildings in the Shou style upon their backs, ribbed sails billowing on their tall masts and men walking their decks, which are open to the void. Obvious feldergarb..........but the tales are always the same........
