Padawan

Every Jedi Master begins their training somewhere. Upon attaining the rank of Padawan a Jedi gains powers in leaps and bounds. Dedicated Padawans learn more through observing their master than they do through direct training. This stage of training teaches the Force Sensitive user to help themselves grow.

Qualifications

This title indicates that the recipient has received basic training, through the Jedi Order, in the ways of The Force. A Padawan typically has been selected by a Jedi Knight or Master for individual training.

Appointment

A student is selected to be Padawan by a Jedi Knight after they have completed the academic requirements. Every Jedi uses different criteria to select their Apprentice, but many of them seek out the opinions of the Academy instructors.

Accoutrements & Equipment

Padawan's typically grow a "Padawan Braid" that they grow for the duration of their time as a Padawan. When they pass their trials the braid is removed. They are also wear traditional Jedi Robes and carry their first lightsaber.
