Jedi Knight

Jedi Knights roam the galaxy on indpendent missions to promote justice and peace. Every Knight uses the Force in a unique way to accomplish their mission. They inspire citizens throughout the galaxy. On the battlefield they inspire their comrades and strike fear into their enemies.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the Trials of Knighthood are required to be called a Jedi Knight. Some extraordinary circumstances could result in the Jedi High Council could promote a Padawan without going through the official trials.

Completion of the Jedi Trials.

Duties

Jedi are assigned missions by the Council and seek to maintain order and security throughout the Republic. They are also entrusted with continuing the education of a Padawan.

Benefits

Throughout the Republic Jedi Knights are recognized as paragons of virtue and, as such, are sometimes given extra benefits. These benefits can range from cheaper lodging rates to free advice. Jedi Knights are also expected to repay those benefits with any assistance that the citizen requires.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

In the event of a Jedi faltering in their pursuit of the Light Side of the Force they are removed from the Order. Other members of the Order may attempt to rescue the Fallen Knight.

Cultural Significance

Jedi Knights are revered throughout the Republic. Their passion for justice is renowned even among fringe portions of the galaxy. In cultures that have not advanced to the stars there are myths of these mystical guardians mediating conflict (or ending it through violence).
