America after the Singularity, was not all that different from before, except for the new Meta Celebrities that dominated the public discourse and media, in the early years as well as the increasing rivalry between Americans and British on the field of research. It wasn’t until the 2000’s where it all went to shit. After being victim of a series of terrorist attacks the USA became increasingly belligerent and interventionist, moreover soon they expanded their reach from supposed terrorist sponsors to any foreign nation not aligned to US interests, as was the case in Nicaragua, El Salvador and Chad. Internally the USA has imposed strict laws to curtail the use of meta human abilities, to register any person who manifests an occurrence and to draft those with “Abilities of Strategic Value” into the wars. The USA overseas efforts have been a colossal failure in most every country they have intervened since the 2000s as their own meta human community started become alienated, if not outright hostile to American demands for intervention.

Richard Howard Gun

The current president of the United States; Gun was originally supposed to be a third party candidate but ended up becoming the democratic party's nominee after their candidate under performed in mid 2012, forcing them to either endorse him or run a candidate who hardly polled over a single digit. He won a second term in 2016 making him the first president to serve a second term since Ronald Reagan, he ran on a platform of law and order, isolationism, domestic security, decreasing taxes and restoring American technological edge by investing in the technology sector. Gun is widely regarded as among the best presidents of the United States in no small part thanks to his image as a cultured and charming man as well as him receiving the benefits of the 2012 oil boom. During his time in office he widely expanded public health services, provided over a trillion dollars for the technology sector either as direct subsidies, purchases or tax breaks; increased surveillance and regulation of superhuman abilities and, while greatly reducing the number of American soldiers over seas paradoxically greatly increased American interventionism. Gun started the Guardianship program which ensures meta humans higher education in an Ivy League college in exchange for 8 years of service on a job training program directed by the army.
