Global Squad

The number one response team for global emergencies. The global squad is made of the most experienced and capable meta humans in the world. The squad is funded and trained by the United States under the ever watchful supervision of the Nations United.
The Global Squad was formed in 2001 as an experimental meta human unit for the Nations United tactical peace unit.
The Global Squad has been granted extraterritoriality, thus allowing for them to operate in any country the NU deems necessary as was the case in the 2001 Support mission to Russia, the 2004 pacification of Central Africa, the 2003 Cuban protests, the 2006 Venezuelan transition to democracy, the 2007 riots in Nicaragua, El Salvador and Honduras, the 2010 intervention in Egypt, the 2011 American intervention in Cuba and the 2012 restoration of order in Eastern Europe.
The global squad has been constantly critiqued as a tool of American imperialism but it isn't.

Saturn

William Jason Wilt Junior was an orphaned kid from Oklahoma, raised by a loving couple in their farm in Oklahoma; he debuts as a superhero in 1992 after discovering his origin as an alien and is commonly believed to be the first occurrence of the Singularity. Following the onset of the Panic he volunteered to support the United States to restore order around the country, he made a name for himself after foiling six different insurrectionist plots in the same day.
Along with Venus, Jupiter, the Exile and Ruby joined together to stop a terrorist attack against Seattle by the Chosen, an American white supremacist gang. That same year the group failed to prevent a series of large scale attacks against major American cities, this was blamed in the reluctance by some members to fully cooperate with the American government.He revealed his secret identity in 2007 at the height of popular discontent over the meta human draft as a way to mend bridges between the government and the meta human community.He usually only operates outside of the US as part of the Global Squad, having taken part on all Global Squad operations to date; but operates mainly inside the US.
He has never received any sort of compensation for his activity as a superhero, preferring to rely on his civilian job as a columnist for income.He's married to Venus, his partner since 1994 and fellow founding member of the Global Squad. They married in 1998 and had their first child, Wallace Waters the Third.
He, along the rest of the Squad embarked into Space to counter attack against the Nyzan Empire following the attack of New York in 2016.
William can generate an intense field of centrifugal force in a short area around himself, this field can knock down anyone but the sturdiest meta humans, besides the field William can manifest a series of rings where the centrifugal energy is even more concentrated. William can also create energy spheres to orbit around himself.

Venus

Vaden started her career as a superhero in 1992 a month after the Singularity by stopping a band of super powered bank robbers, initially she was overwhelmed due to their numbers advantage until Saturn arrived to help her.
Since then they started working together around the United States to keep the peace among the newly powered population. Vaden approached many young meta humans with hopes to establish a network of crisis response and civilian support which would later evolve into the Global Squad.
In 1995 she along with Saturn, the Exile and the Last Cowboy formed the Global Squad and started operating outside of the US, particularly they would take part in operations in Chad (1994-1997), Russia (1995), Nicaragua (1996), Cuba (1999) and Venezuela (2002). Due to opposition by Saturn and Venus the squad has distanced itself from the US government and its interests since then.
Venus married Saturn in 1996 and had a son in 1998 named William Wilt the Third.
She's currently in space as part of the counteroffensive against the Nyzan Empire.
Venus can absorb the energy from her surroundings and discharge it as electric blasts. She's also incredible resistant to most forms of damage which she also can transform into energy.

Lancelot

A former member of the Round Table, Lancelot left his former team in 2012 for personal reasons and joined the Global Squad in that same year. He's currently the only team member to maintain a secret identity.
Lancelot can mirror the abilities of any opponent he enters in contact with. Besides copying their abilities he also gains insight into their uses and an equal amount of skill to his opponents.Lancelot specializes in single combat as a means of containing and disarming major threats.

Ruby

The Queen in Exile of Tovr, a distant planet beyond the milky way, she came to earth in 1992, looking for assistance to rescue her people after they found themselves stranded billions of kilometers away from their destination.
The Tovrians had fled their planet after an hostile space faring Empire descended upon them and demanded their submission, the Tovrians refused the invaders' ultimatum and went to war against the aliens. Unfortunately the Tovrians were outgunned and after a catastrophic war which all but destroyed the Tovrian homeworld they escaped into space in a reverse engineered alien spaceship.
All but a single member of the Tovrians Royals stayed behind to face consequence for their rebellion against the aliens. Ruby was crowned the Queen of Tovr and the New Frontier during their voyage into space.
A mechanical failure caused the spaceship to go off course and end up stranded orbiting the sun, Ruby came to Earth to ask for assistance rescuing her people. She led a team of volunteers to escort her ship back to earth for repairs. According to the team they managed to save somewhere around 80% of the ship's passengers but unfortunately the ship itself was destroyed by an alien infiltrator over Earth's orbit.
The surviving Tovrians were provided with asylum inside of the United States; particularly those involved in the production and operation of the spaceship were offered high ranking positions within the American government and military. Ruby joined the American army from 1992 to 2001 when she was discharged to form the Global Squad.
Besides the common Tovrian abilities, telepathic communication and empathy Ruby possesses telekinesis thanks to her Royal blood.
Since the Tovrian rescue it has been speculated that the members of the mission, particularly Saturn and Glory, have either been replaced with Tovrian infiltrators or were brainwashed into supporting a coup of the United States government by a secret cabal of Tovrians.

Exile

Gerardo Silva Gil (31) heir to a food conglomerate, he's capable to control plant matter in his immediate vicinity. Silva was one of the founding members of the Global Squad. Silva was an unpopular addition to the team, as he was just a no name 15 year old kid, at the time Silva had only just debuted by helping damn a flood in his hometown yet he was joining a team with two of the most powerful and beloved heroes in the planet.
He withdrew from the Squad in 2002 to join the army where he served from 2002 until 2012 when he was honorably discharged. He rejoined the Squad in 2012 acting as their liaison with the US army; he's currently employed as an independent contractor providing services to the US army while being active in the Squad. While he was technically not a member of the Squad from 2002 to 2012 he was still present in all their overseas tasks as well as some domestic ones.

The Last Cowboy

Michael Calvin worked as a pasture technician from 1984 to 1992 in Wyoming until he met the talking Buffalo, Marcus, who granted him a magic lasso to save his herd. Since then Michael and Marcus became a crime-fighting duo, operating around the American plains.
Michael remained a mostly local superhero, though he often responded to crises in Seattle, Chicago and Dallas he usually limited himself to acting around the plains where he could quickly travel with Marcus. Besides the problem of transportation Michael remained a local hero as he continued working at his day job after manifesting his occurrence.
Michael supported the Global Squad in the Seattle hostage crisis of 2001 although he refused to an offer to join as it would conflict with his job as a technician.
Michael retired in 2014 from his work and became a full time superhero and in 2016 he was surprisingly crucial in defeating the Nyzan invasion of New York, after that he joined the Squad in their mission to the counterattack the Nyzan forces in space.
