Health is sought after so as long as you're healthy you're seen as a potential mate. Long hair is the norm on females, often with shaved sides or having the back of the head shaved. Males keep their hair short in various short hairstyles. Long hair on the males is reserved for elders
Gender Ideals
Girls are expected to learn alongside the boys from ages 3-8; once a girl hits age 8, their teachings differ. After age 8, they start learning the basics of healing magic and healing spells as they mostly serve as doctors at a young age. Once they turn 13, they take a test; this is the same with the boys.
This test will determine where they fit: Will they be a warrior, a healer (combat medic), or a ranger of some kind. Most tribes do not consider rangers to be warriors in the traditional sense. A woman will rarely fall into being a wizard or witch. Bards are considered special, and some tribes do not allow them at all.
Boys will learn alongside the girls from ages 3-8; after age 8, they will be put into different classes. The boys learn magic from ages 8-12 and take the same test as the girls at age 13. Boys will have their choice of classes to take; it is not random for them. However, if they fail, they will not be allowed to retake this test. Failing results in them being shunned.
Most women will get married after the 7 Rites; partners are normally determined from birth. Marriage can be turned down; of course, most will stick it out and grow to love their partner. Others will turn down the marriage and try to make their own path.
It is very rare to find a gay couple in any tribe.
Courtship Ideals
Once married, you're expected to stay married within the tribe. Most tribes do not allow their members to marry members of outside tribes. Marriage earns you benefits within the tribe, and marriage has its own ceremony.
Cheating is strictly forbidden, and both participating parties will be punished to the fullest extent of tribe rules. Having a child before you’re married and with someone who is not your husband is seen as “bad luck” and will result in the whole family being tossed out of the tribe.
Marriage is seen as the highest honor, and it is of high value.
Marriage is allowed to be ended if the female can not give birth and if the male cannot fertilize the female. It is not uncommon for this to happen; most will leave the tribe after and seek honor elsewhere.
Relationship Ideals
Relation ships before marriage are not rare, but they're not very serious. If the relationship turns out to be a better match than the decided spouse, preparations will be made accordingly: If this happens the pair are rewarded with tattoos. The tattoos signify that Aphrodite looks down upon them, and she graces them with true love.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
Beast Walkers participate in a tradition called The 7 Rites, where they complete various rites of passage as they come into adulthood. A Beast Walker human comes into adulthood at the age of 16. If you fail the rites, it is the equivalent of staying back a year in high school. You are seen as not being mature enough to participate in customs that come after the rites.
The 5th Rite is a rite of passage for females only; they will often travel to the highest point of their various worlds and test themselves. Often this involves sledding down or parachuting. Some girls will do a mix of both.
The 4th Rite is for the males of the tribes; they will go on a grand hunt. Often this involves a dragon or something of the same degree. After the hunt, they're tasked with skinning the animal and bringing a trophy back to the tribe. Hunts will vary in degree in severity.
Tribes have different traditions, so if you find one be sure to ask the tribe chieftain!

Interesting species. I like that they are not your typical fantasy species. Also, the 7 rites are great to read about. I think I might have spotted a typo, I hope you don't mind. At the fifth rite it says the firth rite. Keep up the wonderful work!
Thank you for reading, and thank you for telling me about the typo! With each species, I try to make them stand out as much as I can.
