Crystal meets a guy who is never unhappy, always lucky and uses his luck to get out of any situations he doesn't like

Crystal voices her puzzlement to a shop keeper who told her that messing with luck will only end in disaster and that she should put her faith in effort rather than something one cannot control fully but can be used as an advantage rather than a thing to rely on. Crystal didn't seem satisfied with her answer since the keeper thought she was talking about herself.   She then remembers what the keeper said to her.
