Mainland has been plagued with nightmares, the defenders are called in to investigate.

It started with Gretal entering a room with Lazarus, Misaki, Harron, Crystal and Conary, before the shadows could touch them, she tears them apart rather feverishly but finds that they still die, after telling them to stop sacrificing their lives for her, what she wanted to happen for so many years finally happened: her artifact becomes corrupted and she destroyed it to prevent herself from transforming but didn't die, because she was in the Dream Dimension.   The Immortal of Dreams looks at Gretal knowingly as he attacked the Defenders but instead of doing what he expected Gretal to do, she defeated him with the team. But apparently he still believes that she can change from what he had seen from her nightmares.
