The 9 curses incident

A threat was sent to 9 people magically, one of which was sent to Stella which did not go unnoticed by Ku, Crystal and Gretal.

Much to Stella's annoyance, both of them realize that Gretal put a spell on them to track them and inform them whenever something bad

happens to them.   They met a hyper active young man called Chun, a soft spoken girl called Aisha with her hot headed mother called Tara, a sassy old man called Daichi and a female physician named Parisa and her feisty younger sister named Dena apparently they were all going to the same place, having met Parisa and her sister at the entrance of the castle.   They went inside together, excitedly chattering amongst themselves as to what kind of treasures they will find, Crystal and Stella careful to not mention any magic but Gretal knew better and kept quiet and keep an eye out for traps. Which is lucky for them since she save Chun from stepping into quicksand.   They manage to survive until they arrived at what Gretal assumes to be the middle of the castle. The three sisters were surprised to see Ku with a fierce, warrior looking woman.   When Gretal woke up, Parisa was the first person she saw and the first thing she asked for was her sisters which for the first time since the incident, Parisa told her that they were fine and they all made it out.   She bluntly asked her why was she still alive when the curses killed everyone else, it was clear that she wanted to trade Gretal's life for her sister's, Gretal didn't want to talk about it but knew she was too weak to even fight off a frail human girl.   She told her about the legend of the 1000 years of death and Parisa got the hint. She cries anew, asking why did it have to happen to which Gretal knowingly replies,' You'd know why,' and that was the last they spoke to each other.
