Gretal meets the half symbi

While about to finish off a symbi, Gretal got distracted by a vision of a flaming bird that looked a lot like a phoenix and got put into a mountain, she realize that the Symbi moved which is not possible.

She then realizes that he is half human and not all Symbi, thinking it might be the Symbi's abilities.   He meets a woman that helped him and let him stay with her for shelter, she only did that because she was blind and could not see his mutation.   Finally, she catches up with him, but instead of killing him, she attempts to console him. He seemed rather surprised at her mercy seeing as he heard from other Symbis of her prowess. He told her that it is too painful to live and begged her to end his life but not before apologising to her since he could sense her grief that she is not willing to let consume her soul.   Gretal grants his desire without replying, she cleanses the symbi, setting him free.
