Mr Harley "Ace" Alex Nightingale (a.k.a. Ace, Felix Therison, Jasper Grindelwald)

Harley "Ace" Alex Nightingale is a Pure Blood Wizard from Scotland, Lindow, depending on which timeline, he is a famous wizarding figure of the 2030s. The son of Crystal Nightingale from the new Nightingale Family famous for being a heroine in the mortal world and a self taught, free lance witch. She is married to Moren Therison, an actor who used to attend ilvermorny, unbeknownst to the ministry of magic however, he was Thomas "Tom" Grindelwald, a descendant of Gellert Grindelwald himself who was put into azkaban after being found out but manage to keep his identity safe thanks to his butler who was under a spell casted by Thomas himself.
He is an intelligent and quiet person, quite an anti-social person. He was accepted into Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, one of the first Nightingales on Hogwarts ground, yet he seem well versed in not only magic but the school grounds too.
He doesn't seem to talk to anyone much except for Iona who was lost on her first day, so he helped her onto the train and sat with her and didn't say much to her attempts at socializing, preferring to read his book even after his secondary school friend, Oscar greeted him and told Iona he was an 'Emo' and not to take offense to his avoidance.
He mentions to Iona that in 2022, first years are lesser than previous years due to the decline of magical families these few years which is also why he the reason he helped her onto the train to make sure Hogwarts don't waste their manpower. He is also able to see a Thestral when he saw the seniors' carriages. He also explained the houses to Iona and say that it isn't great to be in the minority, after mentioning that Hufflepuff is overloaded with students, clearly talking about Slytherin especially with the lack of pure bloods anymore.
He was sorted into the Ravenclaw house, which only had two students, the sorting house seemed to have a lot of problems with sorting him into Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Slytherin but after thinking of the Ravenclaw tower, the sorting hat put him there. It is also revealed during the sorting ceremony that Ace's uncle was a Professor in Hogwarts as the Professor of Transfiguration and the Head of Gryffindor.
He wanted to be a musician when he was young even when he was illegally and secretly practicing magic at home and always keeps his guitar with him which he hid hence why no one knows who plays the nice acoustic music in the Ravenclaw tower when none of the Ravenclaws look musician except for maybe Eric who Ace grew very close to.

As a teen, he has a healthy thin build, when he runs, he runs faster than Selina but slower than Iona. He doesn't try to go through, above or under things unless he really needs to, then he'll go under or go around using a spell to increase his speed. He is athletically average.

• Magical Aptitude: Though in an alternate timeline his power is unrivaled because the competition was executed young, he is still one of the most powerful wizards of the 21st century, having dropped no subject for his O.W.Ls and only dropped Herbology for his N.E.W.T.s, he earned ten O.W.L.s: nine 'Outstanding' and one 'Acceptable' in herbology because of not studying for that subject enough, though it has shamed him to get one 'Acceptable', Iona, who got top scores for herbology said that he got higher than most students due to them not liking to get their hands dirty which says a lot about the difference between those who pass and those who do not. Other than that, he is exceptional at spell casting no one will say it out of respect for the dead but they do call him the most talented wizard of all time.
• Non-verbal and Wandless Magic: His wand is seldom seen after he graduated from Hogwarts, being able to cast a non-verbal spell on his first day of school making Iona almost expel Ace when she thought that wandless magic was an option, he reveals to her that he has been practicing magic without a wand during his childhood before getting his wand on the day he was accepted into Hogwarts, making him already one of the most skillful spell casters of his generation.
• Dueling: Ace is well versed in dueling, able to cast a non-verbal Disarming Charm as a second year and also known to give the famed Harry Potter along with an auror team a hard time though many thought it was Voldemort, that might imply that his dueling skills is on par on his level, in some occasions, not only can he overpower a spell last minute but he sometimes casts a spell before the other could even think of the incantation. He is also well known for beating Boutin and Tang, Boutin being the arch nemesis of Merin and Tang being well versed in technological magic or modern magic that is supposed to be faster and better than humans with the help of his friends and a rainbow colored spell. He still retains that dueling ability as he grows older, able to push back Iona, Oscar and Ethan easily and is sharp enough to disarm and throw their wand into water or a drain or even as high as a 4th level roof top.
• Transfiguration: This subject has became an unpopular and hardest subject for wizards these days many dropping it on their sixth year but Ace got 'Outstanding' in his O.W.L. and N.E.W.T. exams not only due to the lower standards but also because he was able to not only disguise himself to the point of Selina and Eric not noticing his presence and conjure or vanish full instruments and people including a full clone of himself used for dead ringers to fake not only his death but his father's too.
• Charms: He is also able to conjure a solid shield that lasted pretty long and revelio in his first year before Charms class even started. Thanks to his photographic memory, he is not only able to remember a book full of charms and incantations, he usually uses the disillusionment charm to render himself completely invisible and able to conjure a very strong shield, enough to block a barrage of curse from the remaining death eaters. He is also skilled in the patronus charm, conjuring a fully corporeal one during his first try even if it was mostly because he could see his patronus whenever he thinks of happy things, it was still a feat.
• Dark Arts: He is very well versed in the manner of the three curses using the torture curse on Boutin to avenge his father's imprisonment and using the Imperius Curse to control unwilling death eaters but also Professor Clarus to write for him a piece that will not only charm the Aurors including Minister of Magic Hermione Granger but also give him strong magical abilities from the broken elder wand he stole from Hogwarts after defeating Delphini in the Azkaban Genocide and dealt a Cruciatus Curse so powerful that he killed Ascal because he killed Delphini and Maria Wallfang. He also created a curse that has similar effects of dementors and the Drink of Despair that managed to effect a whole town.
• Defence against the Dark Arts: Not only is he able to cast a corporeal patronus on his first try of the patronus charm he got an Outstanding for both his O.W.L. and N.E.W.T. his mass stunning spell famous for knocking out muggles or pixies or even wizards and witches mid-air from the ground. Though he doesn't need to use this at any point after his school years, his boggart rather fuels his conquest rather than scare him, this is also a reason why the sorting hat wanted to sort him into Gryffindor.
• Potions: Having 'Outstanding' in both major exams and his famed potion that he invented that gave muggles or squibs magical ability is the reason why he was one of the best potion masters in his generation. But potion making isn't what he does much of after his school years since almost everything he can do with potions, he can do with a single thought or a wave of his wand other than remedies or antidotes which he always carries selected few with him.
• Healing Magic: He is seen easily healing an enchanted cuff scar after Felix was released from the ministry of magic, he is so well versed in it, after every battle, his friends will usually come to him to remedy their ills rather than going to the infirmary. He not only easily healed broken bones but also uses and sometimes carries anesthetic. Felix once mentioning that Ace could be a great healer if he weren't so great at other spells too. That and he wasn't set on bringing freedom to the wizarding world.
• Apparation: He is well versed in apparation when he could apparate quickly and with precision to dodge spells
• Occlumency: Not only does he able to resist Veritaserum he is also well versed in hiding his thoughts going so far as to push and hurt the person using legilimency as he did to Harry Potter himself.

• Study of Ancient Runes: Not only did he dig up old spells but he also able to find the deathly hallows but also read the Tales of Beedle the Bard.
• History of Magic: He had been taught the history of magic from a very young age, technically his fairytale bedtime stories, he is able to remember not only each lore by heart even before he got into O.W.L.s but also know where each artifact is in the entire world, having already moved on from British history to Earth history.
• Astrology: Despite it not being related to magic or optional for his N.E.W.T. he finds it is the easiest 'Outstanding' he had to earn in the seventh year.
• Divination: being a seer, he has the natural affinity for divination despite not taking the subject in Hogwarts. Not only has he seen Astrum when he first stepped into Mahoutokoro, he had also predicted the rise of wizard-kind by the hands of three wizards. He also predicted the fall of Hogwarts when Tang arrived but also predicted that Hermione would be crucial to their victory while Iona will stop him. His seer abilities though seem out of control, only happens in his dreams and seemingly regularly shown, hence why he seldom sleeps in camp and why music could be heard from river streams, he meditates in his dorm, on a good day, he can sleep through intervals or sometimes sleep dreamlessly, on bad days he stays up and plays for the pictures or talk to his non-corporeal friends.
• Modern Magic: He not only got an 'Outstanding' for both O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s, he is well versed in implementing it in his older days, making the Zodiac Maker and then fixing the History Box and even offering Ethan to configure it to send him back to the future where his parents might be alive due to the changes made to history despite knowing that there is an alternate timeline where he was still the ruler of the world.

Personal history

Born on the 11 November 2011 to the Nightingale Family, he had lived with his parents through his childhood until he was five, when his mother registered her family has a pure blooded family it was also to gain protection from the ministry from the ministry itself after his father was sent to jail after he attempted to stop Boutin's escape but was mistaken by the aurors as the one breaking him out.
His family is very private and seem to be upstanding wizarding family, though they have no ill intentions, it seemed that they let their children practice magic freely in the house.
At the age of 7 he met Ben who was volunteering at his old secondary school, he was a pure blood family too but from Northern Europe and Harley, who was not only well versed in the magical world but also notorious for saying magical things aloud. Ben decided that he liked his style despite not being a rule breaker himself.
He also met Oscar, Stella and Hector, Ben's muggle friend who just thinks they are just geeks of a fantasy tv series, along with Oscar as he was born into a muggle family setting. His mother is careful to educate him and put him away from the dark arts so that he will not turn out like their ancestors.
Around this time, Ben gave Ace a guitar for his birthday which he was elated to have.
At the age of 10 however, he discovered his powers for mediumship after a graveyard visit to Gellert Grindelwald's where apparently he was enjoying a cup of tea with Albus Dumbledore (though it may as well be sarcastic). But both spirits have seemingly followed him around since.
At the age of 11, he was accepted into Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He met Iona at platform 9 3/4, helping her onto the train as her mother feared being recognized at the station and Ace did not want Hogwarts to miss a single wizard or witch due to his knowledge of the decline of wizards in the world or just in Hogwarts, he predicted that Iona was still in shock and maybe thinking she was dreaming and offered to pinch her before she even said anything, which she, embarrassed, declined. She noted that the way he dress was a little too formal and old fashioned.
She sat with him since they were the last to board and in their cabin, when Iona told him his name, he seemed to have expected a handshake before telling her his, Iona also pointed out that he is a boy with a few words. She also pointed out that the Hogwarts Express is a little old fashioned and Ace replied with the fact that they are too lazy to change it and just held it together with magic.
He also found out that Oscar was a muggle-born when he attempted to find Ace during their trip in the Hogwarts Express, finally knowing that he and Ben were actually talking about proper magic. He not only revealed his actual name in front of Iona but also asked Ace where Benjamin was and the latter explained the other wizarding schools across the world. Oscar returned to his cabin but not before telling Iona to not be offended by his anti-social manner and called him an emo.
When they reached Hogwarts ground Ace was able to see a thestral not because he had seen death however, more so because he had powers to see spirits (not ghosts) and spirits floating over non-coperal patronus or relative. Everytime they were near water however, like the boat ride to school, he was reminded of his father's enthusiasm for travelling and boats, which did not go unnoticed by Iona. During the time they were in Hogwarts, Professor Skylen was the Deputy Headmaster, Professor of Charms and Head of the Ravenclaw House and Professor McGonagall was Headmistress.
Before their sorting hat ceremony, Iona said that she knew Slytherin was her brother's house to which he replied that he does not think Iona would be suited to the house and called her a Hufflepuff which he was later proved to be right. He said that it is not that great to be unique in the wizarding world, when he told Iona that Hufflepuff is very common these days and she complained, he was either referring to the life of Harry Potter or the Slytherin house which are still known for accepting pure bloods and future dark witch and wizards.
Professor McGonagall, expresses concern about the Gryffindor House, as they were invited into the Great Hall, as Gryffindor is the third house with fewer students, second last from the Ravenclaw house which half the benches were given to the Hufflepuff house as there were only two Ravenclaws. Ace seem more interested in the asymmetry of the Houses than the ceiling or the teachers like most first years would be.
While the ceremony was on, Oscar also pointed out Ace's uncle at the staff table which he seem to have a close relationship with to subtly wave at him. Lucky for the Headmistress, the first many students were sorted into either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff including Iona and Oscar, noting that the Slytherins looked annoyed while the Ravenclaw students were just doing their own things rather than watching the ceremony.
Finally, earning a huge round of applause was Eric Prilline, his future best friend being sorted into Ravenclaw. The Slytherins relieved and cheering when Selina Silverwing was sorted into Slytherin which Ace had thought should either be in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. When he was lastly called upon, some teachers seemed excited at a prospect of another Harry Potter due to his mother's reputation, the sorting hat almost took ages to sort him into Gryffindor, Hufflepuff or a Slytherin but he insisted to be in Ravenclaw despite the protest of the sorting hat in his mind.
Ace seems well acquainted with broom flying after successfully summoning his broom, easily doing so with Eric and a few pure or half blood Hufflepuffs who were already well versed in magical knowledge. Out of instinct however he accidentally casted a Shield Charm to protect his table from the foam caused by Iona which Professor Kyre, the potions teacher was suspicious of. He made the excuse of the library then and have been using it since.
During this time he had heard of students complaining of not having Dumbledore or Dark Wizards to make things more interesting which irritated him but he didn't show. He seemed to sit with Eric a lot, being the only peer he plan to get along with, at first he wasn't interested in Iona and was neutral with her even when she introduced Eric to her friends.
Eric and Ace seem to be the only one able to pass the transfiguration exercise much to the dismay of Iona, during his first days, he's rather attentive but it diminishes after the second week. Eric offers to help Iona with his homework.
Like almost every student in Hogwarts, he uses Pentius his username being DragonHearted*, he isn't attentive in any lessons and due to the lowered standard of Hogwarts for the amount of student they have, he is ahead of everyone and so is Eric. Apparently the Ravenclaws and Slytherins were always having extra classes with the professors hence why most second to seven years pair them together.
