Cores are created to embody energy and magic, though it has never been the best species for civilisation, they only feed and burn anything they touch.
Though history may paint them in a nice light, there are always two ways to see it.
It's been a billion years since the cores where physically present in the universe, now all that's left is their legacy of planets, however the last sentient core is Papilio who was the previous Immortal of Magic but nobody knew what happened but the job was opened when Sammantha was offered the seat.
