Naahl
The Naahl are considered the most savage species on Somelion. They live in tribes in the Northern Nothingness and are very protective of their homelands, often waging war with the Chiefdom of Frost and the Republic of Tylania, who they deem enemies who stole their lands.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Naahl have an impressive physique. They are the tallest of the species of Somelion and have a naturally strong musculature. Their skin is colored various shades of grey, ranging from snow white to pitch black, as does their hair color. Their eyes are light grey to black and have no distinguishable iris, except for the round pupil in the middle, which is always black. Naahl have incredibly thick and hot blood, which makes them naturally resistant to the cold, even without clothes or body hair.
Naahl have a naturally hunched back and longer arms, and their extremities are very flexible. This allows them not only to climb with ease, but they can also build up high running speed. It is almost impossible to outrun a Naahl.
Naahl naturally grow bones outside of their bodies, which cover the knuckles of their fingers, their elbows, their knees, the top of their feet, as well as their complete spine, their upper backs and the shoulders. Males often also grow bones on their chins and sometimes on the bridge of their noses.

Genetics and Reproduction
A naahl pregnancy lasts for six months. Male naahl can procreate with elven and human women, their children are called Naahlspawn. It is unknown if female naahl can reproduce with male elves or humans.
Growth Rate & Stages
Naahl reach their puberty around the age of ten. During their puberty, they start to develop their exterior bones, which are fully grown by the age of fifteen, at which a naahl is considered fully developed. Around the age of forty, Naahl tend to lose their hair, marking the entry into old age.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Naahl have heat vision, helping them to locate prey and threats in their snow-covered lands. This also allows them to see in the dark.
