The Chaos Pit

This massive coliseum is the centerpiece of The Opal Run. Gladiatorial bouts against both man and beast occur here daily. Exotic monsters are either bred in the under croft of the amphitheater, or brought in by seekers, and the right creature can fetch a very pretty penny.

History

Built in the 3rd Century, 1E, the Chaos Pit was a long-awaited addition to Golden Harbor's entertainment district. Previous to the Pit's construction, criminals and ne'er-do-wells were merely imprisoned in The Iron Keep and left to rot. With the new gladiatorial stage, prisoners may elect to join the The League of Valor and fight to become one of The Absolved, thereby winning their freedom.
