Relationship Reasoning
Amelia was a ship's cook aboard a large trade vessel where Shantris served. The two became friends, as Amelia was one of the few who had ever gotten past Shantris's icy demeanor. The captain of the ship made innapropriate advances toward Amelia, and Shantris protected her, wounding the captain in the process. The two fled and eventually worked together to steal the ship they now live on, the Drozzoth Da'Molina (The Wailing Princess). Years of working together on the high seas brought the two closer until the relationship progressed to a romantic one.
