The First Beat

Long ago, the world was young and whirling storm of order and chaos. There was no difference between the land and sky, day and night, heat and cold. Chunks of primordial earth crashed into each other, breaking into nothing before the dust became waves of light and cold. Such was the nature of the time before. Primordial life, creatures unimaginable, lived and died in spans of infinite moments, spontaneously forming from the calamitous cycle.   This was the nature of all things, until it wasn't. In the first moment, the first second to time, something reach out of the cycle. The first breath, the first beat, something pulled itself from the mess. It found itself outside of creation, outside of all other things able to behold creation. They floated infinitely far away but close enough the reach back into it's depth.   It was in this moment the patron god of gods, The Other, looked on had the first thought to accompany the first breath. "I am Other then that. I am Other then everything else."
