The AfterParty

Entity's Celebration

The AfterParty is typically seen as a day of rest and relaxation. This "after party" happens at the end of a five day long celebration of the creation of the world, emphasizing Entity's contribution. Since Entity is seen as the goddess of creativity and uniqueness, it only makes sense that her followers would have a celebration of something exactly like that.

History

Originally, this "after party" was the whole five day celebration, where each day there was a comeptition for different forms of art. As well as presentations and opportunities to win scholarships and funds for other creative projects.

However, this changed over time once the gods retreated to the heavens. The gods were still worshipped just not as often and the five day artistic celebrations and competitions started to fade, eventually becoming just one day after a five day celebration of the creation of the world.

The Changes

Because a five day celebration was shoved into one day, several changes took place.
  1. The competitions were significantly smaller and fewer with many people started making people pay in order to take part.
  2. Scholarships and funds were no longer prizes, instead competitions were mainly just for fun and a way to increase popularity.
  3. Games and puzzles became more associated with the celebration, instead of creativity.
  4. It started to become a day where families would just come and hang out, relax, play games, and do fun little activities instead of a big creative and artistic festival.

Execution

The AfterParty will usually take place in a town plaza or some other populous area. Before it became a one day celebration/relaxation day, there would be several buildings rented out for the art presentations, and although there were some outdoor booths where people could play small games, they weren't the focus. And even these small games were focused on the creativity of the solution. These games created a series called "Creative Problem Solving."

Those games are no longer done anymore, and are mainly considered old fashioned. Now, the AfterParty still takes place in a town plaza, but only one building is needed for any of the competitions that may take place, and the games are spread throughout the dozens of booths.

Observance

Although this celebration used to be quite popular in the olden days (before The Treaty of Deraphan ) the streets being filled with hundreds of people. Some carrying their pieces of art, whether that be a painting, a story, or even themselves. Others were setting up booths with games they created, or glass blown objects. Several were putting on plays, singing in the streets, or playing an instrument.

But now, only a few hundred people come. There are very little people carrying their art, there are not very many booths, and very few of them have creative games. The AfterParty, although still a fun and popular event, is not quite as spectacular as it used to be.
