Dragonborn

The most common of the giantfolk in the Dragon clan to be recognized by other people of the Sjonderwold are what are known variously as "dragon-kin” or “dragonborn”. These are individuals who are gifted with dragon-inspired forms, including scales, claws, fangs, and even wings on some spectacular specimens. Most of these dragonborn find it easy to move up within Dragon clan society with relatively little effort.

The lords of the Dragon clan are so gifted with these features, and indeed are rumored to simply be dragons themselves, that they almost never meet visitors and act through intermediaries.

Rumors abound of agents of the Dragon lords inserting themselves into all levels of clan societies, influencing the public opinion and political development from their citadel in Draektormund‌ – but these are widely considered to be paranoid superstition and incoherent ramblings.
