Dragon Relation with Giantfolk

During the Age of Heroes, the giant-folk that were not pushed into the inhospitable north found refuge in the lands of the Dragon. The maze of irregular plateaus and valleys nestled between and around the black mountain peaks of the Dragon’s chosen homeland provided an astounding variety of environments suitable for all manner of life.

Dwarves

The Dragon clan’s exceptional relations with the dwarf clans that survived the war with the Grimbeards means that Dragon clan members are some of the few humans in the whole of the Sjonderwold that can access and use the Dovmindunder.

Ogres and Minotaur

The Dragon use the terrain of their adopted homeland, as well as their unique magic and technology, to create safe enclaves for other giant-folk, namely ogres and minotaurs‌. These enclaves are designed to fulfill the needs of their occupants as well as keeping the people around them safe.

Gnomes and Kinter

The Dragon have a special place in their hearts for gnomes‌ and kinter‌, despite the rarity with which those small-folk appear in their lands. Gnomes fuel the Dragon’s creativity and inspire them to feats of recklessness and experimentation, and the volatile nature of the environment means the Dragon are uniquely suited to handle the explosive results of gnomish alchemy.
Indeed, many of the Dragon clan took to alchemy even though gnomish tutors are few and far between. Kinter are exceedingly rare in the Dragon lands, as Bear visitors are rare in the Dragon lands. What few kinter that do arrive in Dragon territory initially keep to the shadows, as the incredible variety of peoples and strange masked humans can be overwhelming. Once they are acclimated, however, kinter are ecstatic to move about in the open (at least to their standards).

Centaur

As for the centaur‌, there are very few in the Dragon lands; the centaur saw no need for the protection of the Dragon, and the Dragon emissaries agreed.
