Blood of Giants

The Bear clan has never quite shaken the rumors of intermingling with giants, in part because of the incredible size they are blessed with.

Always the ancient allies of the giants and their kin, the Bear were some of the few tribes of men who could find a semblance of coexistence with the ogres and the minotaur even into the Age of Heroes. The rumors of intermingling with giants are true, if a bit exaggerated; while most Bear villages and families still have some actual giant blood in their veins, it is rare that half-breeds occur in the current age.

Larger tribes or villages will often be led by one or two nogdrun‌, or “noble giants”, acting as spiritual guides and occasionally rejuvenating the giant stock in a worthy Bear urd's bloodline.
