Personal history

UNFINISHED RETURN TO LATER     He was created in order to get Vinh to do her job. Unfortunately, his hedonistic, observer nature, he chooses to let chaos take hold of the situation. This destroys Vinh's trust in him.   He saves Vinh when she nearly kills the siblings by offing Mirren. For a long time, she considers this a great embarrassment, which Naldo doesn't let her live down. He knows that she hates accepting anyone's help, especially his.   Gradually, he loses the trust of all the siblings by pushing them as far as he can. He knows that he's significantly more powerful than the others and that they can't do anything to him.   At some point, he removes a pinch of his power and tricks Carmine into placing it within a living creature in Illium, creating the first sentient life. The siblings, fearing the worst from Pangiot's death, want to destroy these lifeforms. Vinh ultimately defends Naldo's actions, stating that Naldo is unlike anything in existence, especially Xitii and Rodine, so no one can assume anything about him.   This defense shocks everyone, especially Naldo. This is the first time that he's unable to predict her. A deep fascination sparks in Naldo after this moment. He tricks Carmine into putting sentient life into Aogris, just to he could understand her dedication to law and justice. His fascination quickly evolved into infatuation, though Vinh didn't share the same affection for a long time.   Naldo and Carmine develop Paorsa at some point.   Naldo is another victim of the prank the others play on Vinh. Although he was confused by Vinh's behavior, his hope that she shared his feelings overpowered his reason. He took her to all of his favorite places in the planes and gave her many gifts that he retrieved from the mortal planes. When the spell on her mind broke and the others' manipulations were revealed, Naldo was humiliated. He reduced his influence on the planes so he could hide away from the others (which had very detrimental effects on the world). Eventually, Vinh started pulling him out of his funk and they spend time together when she wants to avoid her siblings. During this time, they began a relationship and start a millennia spanning partnership.   Unlike the others, he is willing to talk with Mirren, up and to the point when they attack him. Naldo, Mirren, and Noeul create the Lorn Grimoire and cast it into the planes, trying to see how mortals would handle the knowledge that they would never truly achieve. Naldo was delightfully surprised (while the other two were horrified) that mortals could use the remnants of Naldo's power within their being to use the information in the Grimoire. Naldo let an amnesiac spirit named Romilly use the Grimoire. Instead of using the power to heal themselves, Romilly simply sought knowledge. The information transformed Romilly into an abomination that no one on the planes could accept, so Naldo took them into Recanth as one of his curiosities, leading to the information being disseminated throughout the planes. He would then repeat the process with Ivo and Jacinta, with the assistance of Carmine.

History

At first, she hated Naldo because he has the power to get rid of Mirren, but doesn't. Naldo just viewed her as some other predictable part of his life. She defended him during the trial regarding the sentient life he created. This surprised Naldo and kickstarted his attraction to her. At one point she was cursed to love Naldo, which upset him greatly when he found out. They started bonding as they avoided the mockery of the others after the incident. Eventually the two actually entered into a committed relationship and had a child.
