Nanus

The Nanus are a hardy, strong people. They do belong to the fae, though the rest of the fae dislike them. Long ago many of the Alv who weren't as tall and skilled at things decided to branch off and visit the mountains they were told to stay away from. It was there they found their true magic. Stone, metal and mountain were the Nanus' true calling as they found the material easy as wood to sculpt. The first small group of Nanus are referred to as "The Deserters" by the Alv, but they believe it was merely evolution.The Nanus fell in love with the Huma's inventions and engineering and adopted several things to make into their own. Soon they developed their own machines and used them in their efforts to mine more and faster. Older Nanus of the villages called this lazy and noted how weak some of the younger ones were becoming. Though many of the older Nanus dissapprove, machines have become a large part of their lives and magic remains strong in them as well.
