“Something fishy about that Molly girl. Always sat in her bunk, looking at that deck of cards. Someday she’ll come outside, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be any time soon!”Molly Candrupa is a strange child. She doesn’t play outside with the other children, she doesn’t even complain to her parents. She spends all of her time playing with a deck of cards. The Deck of Many Things. When she first found the deck on the beach, it was accompanied with a person. She had gone to find some seashells to play with and saw a man holding the deck and draw a card. His hands went stiff and he dropped both the card and deck. He fell to the floor before vanishing into ash, pain etched upon his face. Since then, Molly has carried the cards with her wherever she goes and made sure nobody else touches them. She ran away from her parents, worried that they’d get ahold of the deck and hurt themselves, and joined The Pirates of the Farlands.

Molly is extremely agile when she moves, however is extremely thin and frail due to refusing food countless nights in a row.

Molly wears the same grubby t-shirt every day, it hangs over her thin shape like a blanket. Since she doesn’t grow the same way as normal children due to the lack of food, it goes all the way down to her knees.

Personal history
When Molly was born, her family were ecstatic. They’d been trying for years to have a baby, and finally, Molly survived. They gave her the world as she went from baby to toddler, toddler to child. She was the happiest child you’d ever seen, until one day.
That day, Molly and her family had taken a holiday to the seaside. They were lounging on the beach when Molly announced that she was going to collect some seashells and that she’d be back in a few minutes. She never came back. What she saw over the bank scarred her forever, a man drawing a card from The Deck of Many Things and disappearing with the wind. She was never the same.
After running as far as she could from the beach and her parents with the deck, she stopped in King’s Bay in search for a ship to sail away with. She found a ship, and a crew to go with it. She joined their crew and never came out from under the deck after going to her bunk.
She’s been on board the ship for several years now, never emerging from her bunk. The only time she even moves is to collect her food and clean the bunk area. Other than that, she spends her time sitting in her bunk, rifling through the cards and shaking violently. The rest of the crew try to comfort her, hut nothing ever changes.
Education
Molly went to a small school to learn basic functional skills in her early years, and she was due to start formal education when she disappeared. She can talk a few words, but never does. She can’t write or read at all.
Accomplishments & Achievements
When Molly was seven, her first tooth fell out and she was given a gold coin, which she kept and has never spent. That’s her biggest achievement.
Mental Trauma
Molly has lots of mental trauma, the biggest of which was of course seeing the death of the man who drew the card from The Deck. She was never the same after watching him fall to the floor and disappear.
