The people of the Kestien Commonwealth entered the Empire early and most did so as slaves. Shortly after unification they were all granted full citizenship and the rights that go with it. Kestiens were a race of moon worshipers who were known for their 'unnaturally' fair complexion, complete inability to acquire a tan and their remarkably bright green eye colour. The hair of a Kestien is always black and their eyes are always a unique shade of green known within the Empire as Kesti Green. The eye colour is highly dominant and will appear in the children of a mixed pairing for several generations.
