Shanalar

Shanalar is a very old world that has seen its fair share of tyrants and conquerors. In recent years an elite elven clan, the Tel'a'sei, slowly accumulated power and are making moves to enslave the other races of Shanalar.   Shanalar consists of two known continents and several unexplored smaller island ranges. The Tel'a'sei are mostly active on Kialdéan, the eastern continent, where they exert their power over the other races. In a new move towards their goal, the Tel'a'sei are sending unruly slaves to uninhabited Islands as punishment.   Throughout the eastern continent small revolts happen but as quickly as they arise they are halted. Many of the oppressed have given up hope, the Tel'a'sei rule ruthlessly and keep communities well separated to prevent large-scale uprisings.   The western continent, meanwhile, does not meddle with the east. While not entirely peaceful themselves the western kingdoms keep mostly to their selves and their battles for control of the various kingdoms. While the western kingdom generally knows about the oppression by the Tel'a'sei they also know that they have nothing to fear. A military expedition from one continent to the other would take months if not years. As such the western kingdoms believe they have nothing to fear from the eastern continent.
