Faoláin O'Dundin
The forster Uncle of Conchobhar O'Dundin is an artificer of considerable skill. Gruff and demanding upon Conchobhar, he raised the boy in everything he knows regarding metalforging, talismongering, and mechanical engineering. He keeps a few drones in his Tír na nÓg woodland cabin to assist with his work and chores, but he is not a rigger. He felt that Conchobhar showed too much interest in drones and forbade him from installing any cyberware that would allow him to interface with them.
Faoláin's brother, Venimore, took a very differnt path, moving to the UCAS and changing his name to something more American. He went on to some success as a boardmember of Telestrian Industries. Venimore, now Vincent, contacted O'Dundin and offered him a chance to see the world. Faoláin, knowing the boy would be consumed by his need to see the world outside of Tír na nÓg, reluctantly agreed. He did not know that "Vincent" would offer young Conchobhar a drone control rig like he had always wanted, or the troubles that would come of it.
Faoláin lived peacefully in his woodland home, forging magical metalwork in the shadow of the Hollow Wood for almost a year before young Conchobhar returned home in the story, O'dundin: True Stripes.
