Partale
Balca's eyes widened. "Oh, right! I guess you guys wouldn't know about that!" They cleared their throat and took out their fan. "Very well. Allow me," they pointed the fan left.
"To tell the story." Point right.
"Of the Separation!" Point up.
The Lejon rolled her eyes. "By the gods, must you be so dramatic?"
Balca bopped her on the nose with their fan. "I'm a Partal. It's my job to be."

Purpose
Partale (singular form: Partal) are the storykeepers, the ones who tell Scyll myths and thereby spread knowledge of them. They tend to be recruited for religious celebrations, or into the theater profession as actors.
History
The Partal profession stems from a long tradition from before Scyll had a written language, and the only way to pass down myths was to memorize them and tell them to the next generation. Since Scyll now have a written language, Partale are also bookkeepers and historians in addition to performers, looking for lost stories and writing them down so they cannot be lost again.
