Todmaroo Valley

Todmaroo Valley is a stretch of empty land with a road of the same name passing through. This area used to be a valley filled with blue sickle flowers. These flowers had a strong refreshing scent and they were one of the most popular flowers used in perfume production. Before the curse settled across Vakor, making it barren and lifeless, this area was called The Blue Valley.   When all the flowers died out and most of the animals who depended on the flowers abandoned the valley, the land became dangerous. People stopped using the road through the valley because there was no fresh water. Few inns that offered food and rest for travelers were closed down due to a lack of customers and growing hardships. What's more, venomous snakes and scorpions grew in numbers which made this stretch of Vakor deadly. So, the old name was forgotten and people began calling the land Todmaroo. The name remained and the road was dubbed Todmaroo Geb - the road of another death.   In most recent times, there is a story that a powerful mage who lives on the outskirts of Nes'a'dur is creating beasts and letting them loose in the valley as a for of a wicked experiment. These claims are not confirmed and it is considered hearsay of the superstitious. Still, no one uses the road anymore, which makes trades between Nes'a'may and Nes'a'dur impossible, leaving Nes'a'dur to fend for itself on this barren land.   The ground is grey as everywhere in Vakor. It is dry and cracked and every drop of rain immediately gets sucked through the cracks making it impossible for life to sprout. The only area that is still somewhat lively is the valley's northern section. Most of this section is taken by a vast mountain range, but a pine forest at its foot provides enough life for smaller animals, while it also enables Academia Paix to remain open.
