Hims

The smallest autonomous polity on Uman. Owing to their distance from the major military powers on Uman, Hims has maintained their control over their territory by the sole virtue that they are the only ones willing to settle it. The rocky steppes of the continent offer little in the ways of minerals or agriculture, and the lower average temperatures in the summer months make it hard to grow on what fertile soil is available. What they lack in natural resources however, they make up for in pre-scream artifacts; the largest pre-scream city left abandoned on Uman is located in the center of the continent.
Ultimately, these conditions have cultivated a sparse by hardy people. The majority of their population is centered around their PSG, with only a handful of other small settlements focused on harvesting what they can from the surrounding continent and islands. They maintain trade relations with Gebal and Ahsa, especially for what they lack in food production. They provide in return salvaged tech from the still only partially explored pre-scream architecture, and advanced technical services the population has developed over decades and centuries of scouring the large ruins.
The leader of Hims is the current leader of the Fiafra council, a position through experience gained in serving the community.
