Ériu is the Goddess of light, law, civilisation, the harvest, the heavens, water and storms. She depicted as a mother figure, the appearance of which varies by race and culture. Her symbol is a wreath of grain. A popular aspect of her amongst sailors is Lir, god of of the Sea.
