Triton in Sarion

Triton are powerful protectors of the seas of Sarion, fending off all manner of creatures from sahuagin to krakens. By their born nature and they role they play in protecting the vast seas of Sarion, the triton have developed what other races see as a strong arrogance. This is a trait that the tritons cousin race, the goliaths try to sway them from, making them only take pride in the accomplishments and to not get carried away with their ideas of high self worth. But in turn the triton try to teach the goliaths the importance of wisdom and that their elders shouldn't be cast aside simply because their bodies are failing them. Indeed the relationship between the triton and the goliath is a strong one. This goes back to The Elemental Clash, a world shaking event they were both born from.
The tritons are a race of aquatic humanoids who live in the under water city of Sint'allar between the Ur'thuk cliffs. They are sworn protectors of the sea from other planar threats. They are able to find and drive off evil threats of the deep that threaten the world above. They work alongside the goliaths in protecting the sea.
Triton rarely leave their underwater cities and travel to the surface outside of Ur'thuk. But when triton do leave home it is often because they have found some kind of other planar threat they feel they must defeat or that they feel they have something to learn from the world above, although very few feel this way.
