Halflings

The cloistered, good-hearted and happy.

Halflings in Sarion

Halflings in Sarion keep to themselves. When you encounter a halfling outside their cloistered villages, it is a rare sight but will most likely be a pleasant encounter as most halflings are kind and happy people. These small people are often seen as very courageous and lucky, blessings they tribute to their god mother Yondalla.   Although you may see a few halflings in some towns and cities, most of them stay within the edges of their small towns, hidden from the other races and the monsters of the world. These small halfling villages are in most of the countries in Sarion. Halfling villages are small and most are unknown, hidden from being found by the luck of the halflings. Some halflings want to travel and see the world, these halflings are the ones that got fancy feet and left home, they are the ones you will most often find away from their homes and in towns and cities across Sarion.   There are only two towns in Sarion that would be considered halfling towns and are actually marked on most maps. These two towns are Weary Travel and JamJar. Weary travel is a traveler's town along the long road in Elsvyyn that leads towards Zuephlin, it is a farm town with many different great ales and foods for travelers to enjoy before moving on. JamJar is a smaller village in the plains of Zuephlin and is mostly a farming village specializing in fruit farming for their legendary jams that are talked about by almost any traveler who has been through the town.   If you meet a halfling you will be greeted with a smile and a "good day" from them, as most halflings are good hearted and try to think the best of people. A halfling is more likely then any other race to invite a stranger into their home for dinner or to try and offer aid or help to those who ask. At the same time halflings are not naïve and can tell when someone is being sincere or trying to deceive the halfling. Those who spend a lot of time with halflings would see the luck that they have and when something seems as if it is about to go very wrong, a halflings luck will kick in and save them. They are also courageous, not much can scare a halfling, in a world where they are the smallest of the common races, they learned to simply stop fearing things as much.
