Elowean Plateau (EL OH AN)

This massive highland plateau dominates the eastern half of Carentress. To the south and east it begins with a relatively gentle slope up from the Clearian Lowlands and the Norian Peninsula. To the north and west, the plateau is terminated by steep drop offs down to the Sheer Coast and the near impassable barrier of the mountains at the Spine of the World.
This highland plateau has formed the traditional home of most humans of Sanzeia and is the site of their greatest kingdoms throughout history.

Geography

Mostly consisting of a flat grasslands and gently rolling hills, the region is abundant in resources, though most of the ores tend to be located to the north and west of the region.
