Marco Verona

C.E.O of Akhal Technologies, Marco Verona is an Imperial native from the Plateaus of Southcliffs and would've spent his life a goat herder like his ancestors before him but one fateful day changed his life forever.
As a young man, Marco was goat herding when he slipped and dropped his waterskin down a thin but impossibly far ravine. The Unforgiving Sun beat down on his head and eventually, he lost himself to Sunlight Sickness. As he wandered, abandoning his goats and trying to fins his way back home, Marco saw it in the distance, charging at him. A horse of impossible size with strides that seemed to cover three times the ground of a normal horse, Marco believed it to be a legendary Akhal-Teke. He turned to get out of its way when he fell and was caught at the last second by the rider of this horse.
Upon waking in his family home, Marco had learned that a wandering Motor Knight from the Sahansi Clans had found the Verona Homestead and his father had begged the knight to find his son who had not returned. Thus, Marco developed a love for Motor Knights and their vehicles, leaving his home and venturing all the way to the Sahansi clans to become a squire. Eventually, his ingenuity and charisma was rewarded with exclusive trade deals with the Gorge Lords that he brought to the Governor of Lucustae. With the help of the governor, he transformed Lucustae and the surrounding hamlets into a series of factories that brought jobs and wealth to the region as well as the favor of the Emperor.
