Manadith

From the Sylvan (Scottish Gaelic) "manadh breith" or "birth omen", a Manadith is when a child is born completely different from its parents due to the influence of an extra planar entity on the development of the fetus.. For Example, when an Demon is summoned in an area, there is potential for fetuses in the surrounding area to mutate into Tieflings. Once the process begins, it cannot be stopped and the gene pool of the fetus is polluted permanently.
When a Manadith happens spontaneously, the surrounding populace usually reacts by seeking out and removing whatever entity caused the Manadith creation in the first place. What happens to the child, is a matter of regional differences. Some protect such children as blessed by those with more power, others are thrown from cliffs.
However, no matter what, when a Manadith is born, it is a sign of more trouble to come.
