The desk is shaped like a skull, has two items on it (Lovefool amulet - casts friends on the wearer and compels them to announce their presence. Arcana/history/religion check: tells you the meaning of the objects. Perception- taken together with the objects that belie his true intentions. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Lower Level 2 can be accessed from below via the breakroom or from the hall. Hall: Rune of Fear Traps. The stone pavers that line the floor seem to be intentionally shrouded in darkness. Maybe to hide the magical traps. Why include these diversions deeper into this cryptlike There’s a distant flickering light at one end of the hall. It portends movement beyond the stairs. There’s another set of stairs leading to a darker locale. The daughter is leading the way down the hall. You have successfully tricked her into believing not only that Syn is her mother but that you are a mixture of her mothers friends and contractors here to do something she, frankly, does not care about. The hall is lit by a few arcane torches that barely flicker and there is an added element of darkness because Lillybell has cast “pass without a trace”. The hall is significantly colder. The air takes on more of a chill. At the end of the hall where the daughter is you can see her breath when she exhales.

Purpose / Function

Perception checks: DC 1-5: Lowest level is the mine. Second level is probably the living quarters, windows (DC 5 stealth for unoccupied rooms, 10 it’s next door to an occupied room), portcullis, normal entrance (DC 12 stealth). DC6-10LL must be accessed from outside or the servant’s quarters (stealth) or the mine (difficult terrain). DC11-20 LL - This was the break room at one point. The air is noctous and they will have to take saving throws to breath. There is a huge drop off that leads into the mine.
