San Francisco is a Gemini

  It contains a duality that is invisible to those who don't wish to see it. It's rich in culture and vibrant community, and there's no lack of desperation and unhealthy dependence. Across the city skyline you see construction projects emerging as if overnight, their bones casting shadows on the homes and small businesses below. Each of these homes hold untold stories of hope and loss. From one block to the next your senses may be tickled by the scent of warm tamales, or hot dimsum in Chinatown, or the sweet smell of fresh churros on the waterfront. There you'll hear the sound of tourists laughing and snapping photos by the ferry building and the pier, which blends into a sacharine symphony mixes with the clang of the trolley and the chorus of voices that claim that the future of the city doesn't lie within thriving communities of color or collectives of artists but in the boom of the dot com era.   San Francisco is bursting with potential and possibility and it's doomed to continue a cycle of violence death and decay as the blood that soaks it's land seeps deeper and deeper in tot the psyche's of those who control it.It's bursting with potential and possibility and it's doomed to continue a cycle of violence death and decay as the blood that soaks it's land seeps deeper and deeper into the psyche's of those who control it.  

Control

...And who controls the city, is it the Mayor, is it the neuvo-riche, is it the masses of people who inhabit it. Across the city there is a growing distrust for corrult police and politicians. As the cost of living starts to creep further and further out of reach for so many who live here and the claws of capitalists sink deeper into the heart of San Francisco.   This is a city of dualities; there are thriving queer communities that must constantly shirk the draconian state that seeks to quash their joy and self expression. There is a lingering despair as the epidemic that continues to spread with apathy from those in power for the lives lost. As individuals flock there to avoid punishment for their of "perversion or indecency" they are still harrassed in the city they have fled to for freedom.   The city is at a breaking point, it aches for the voices from below to cry out as one and demand change, while the city hurdling towards a new millenia.

A Precipice

  It's August 1995, the city is on the precipice of massive change and so is the world. Just this year Amazon , Craigslist and eBay all launched. Microsoft took its first significant plunge into the stirring waters of the World Wide Web. The PlayStation made its North American debut. Toy Story, the first all-CGI movie, hit the big screen.   But most uniquley, a party of six individuals saw the very fabric of their universe wrent asunder and malevolence pour forth as murderous mystical creatures erupted from the bodies of the people who swore to protect and serve them.   In a world where magic is made manifest. Six strangers form a vanguard, but do they have what it takes to save their world.     **Imagine the scene where they tumble through the mirror**   The Mayor "Oh my God, I'm so glad you answered"
