Lakeview

Lakeview lies along the North coast of the Yazuac. It is part of a greater region surrounding the area known as the Yazuac Region. Lakeview is a small farm town. It sports a town center, loaded with multiple shops, as well as the Lakeside, a tavern situated right on the Lake’s edge. The town also acts as a port of sorts. A ferry crosses the widest section of the Yazuac, a small raft pulled along by a pulley system, with the help of divine magic. On a good day, the Yazuac can take about a day to cross in this way. Going around could take weeks.
Lakeview is a nice town with kind folk. There are about 100 residents of the small village, many of which are either farmers or fisherman. They lead simples lives, filled with hard work and stiff drink. The Yazuac is a part of everyone’s daily lives, whether they bathe within its waters, or build trenches to their farms, the Lake is revered as almost a deity. It is seen as Lakeview’s protector, and must always be taken care of. Worship of the Maker is heavy in the Yazuac Region, and most, if not all of the Lakeview residents follow her teachings.
Those buildings closest to the water stand on wooden stilts, reinforced with steel and magic. Every year, the floods wear away the stilts, and every year they must be replaced. The town has made a sort of annual holiday out of this, where everyone takes a break from work to help repair the town. When repairs are finished, a feast lasting a week takes place.
